Otago Peninsula beach
Beautiful Sandfly Bay was not named for the annoying biting insects that are sometimes found near beaches, but for the sand that flies into the air from the huge dunes. This beach is a significant breeding site for yellow-eyed penguins; you might also see fur seals and sea lions.
