Biking, Belmont Regional Park
You can enjoy a wide range of outstanding hiking, mountain biking and camping opportunities in this large hill country park. Discover disused ammunition bunkers dating from WWII, and admire the view - this one looks north towards Pauatahanui Inlet with Kapiti Island in distance. Train and bus services from Wellington city can get you within walking distance the park, which covers a large area between the Hutt Valley and Porirua.
