Upper Hutt is just 25 minutes drive or a 40 minute pleasant train ride from the city of Wellington. It is nestled by the Hutt River amongst a scenic setting of bush-clad hills with easy access to forest and riverside walks.
The nearby Akatarawa Valley hosts the major attraction of Staglands Wildlife Reserve; 25 acres bursting with rare native and exotic birds and animals, a family winner. Silver Stream Railway Museum, Trentham Racecourse and H20 Xtream with wave machine also make a great day out in Upper Hutt.

Monday-Friday: 8am- 5pm
Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays: 9.30am - 2.30pm
