Restored in keeping with its gracious style and era, Sennen House is registered under the Historic Places trust of New Zealand and offers guests a unique and authentic boutique accommodation experience. Built in 1886 by George Smith as Pictons’ show home, the house is a fine example of an Italianate villa and is well known local landmark.

Its spacious formal gardens and backdrop of native bush are protected under the Queen Elizabeth II National Trust, offering a peaceful haven, only a short stroll to Picton’s restaurants and foreshore.

• Full or Half Day Cruise or ‘Cruise and Walk’ or Motuara Island Bird Sanctuary Cruise with Beachcomber Cruises. Visit the stunning Marlborough Sounds by boat simply as a relaxing cruise, experiencing the pristine native forest by foot, or discovering the multitude of native birds at Motuara Island

• 1 Day Cruise, Walk and Explore at Lochmara Lodge. A short cruise and an optional choice of walk will take you to the unique environment of Lochmara Lodge with its Wildlife Recovery & Arts centre, hammocks, kayaks, walking tracks and beachfront café.

For your convenience, we provide courtesy transfers for ferry and train passengers and to your chosen activity. Wine tours leave from our driveway.
