This itinerary is designed to introduce you to some of the many delights on offer along the extensive Pacific coastline. Beginning in the mural town of Katikati you will journey along the Bay of Plenty to Whakatane, then either around the remote East Cape or across the stunning Waioeka Gorge to Gisborne. By incorporating a complimentary dinner and an excellent Unique Nature Tour we are able to offer a saving of £95 per person.

Day 1: Pick up your rental vehicle from Auckland and drive across the North Island to Katikati at the base of the Coromandel Peninsula. Enjoy two nights here at Matahui Lodge, where a complimentary dinner is included for your enjoyment.
Day 2: A day to explore either the Coromandel or the Bay of Plenty.
Day 3: Journey along the coast to Whakatane, a great jump-off point for volcanic White Island, or for trips out onto the bay to swim with the dolphins.
Day 4: Choose between either driving along the coast around the spectacular East Cape, or inland via the impressive Waioeka Gorge, arriving in Gisborne. Spend three nights at Knapdale Eco Lodge.
Day 5: A day to explore the chardonnay capital of the region. You will also enjoy a complimentary four hour unique nature tour at the lodge.
Day 6: End your trip in Gisborne, or continue onwards to further explore the North Island.
