Your discovery of New Zealand begins in Auckland, the City of Sails, set in the midst of the sparkling Waitemata Harbour and home to two America’s Cup races.  You may even choose to sail on one of these amazing boats or help crew one. A much gentler ride will be your excursion to wonderful Waiheke Island by ferry.  Here you’ll find spectacular views looking back over Auckland and the harbour, and be introduced to boutique wineries and the secrets of Waiheke’s world-wide success in fine red wines.

The following day collect your rental car and challenge yourself on the Gulf Harbour Golf Course – offering spectacular holes along the cliffs and overlooking the Huaraki Gulf, the course presents great golf and scenery.

Next, depart Auckland and drive north to Carrington Resort on the Kari Kari Peninsula in the stunning Bay of Islands, with its subtropical climate and myriad of beautiful islands, bays and beaches. Carrington Resort features a lodge, golf club, vineyard and a 3000-acre stud farm all in one.  Facilities include an ocean side, tournament quality, 18-hole golf course designed by Matt Dye, clay targets shooting range, tennis courts, heated swimming pool and spa looking out over the Pacific Ocean as well as white sand beaches and a hillside of vineyards. You’ll have no problem filling every moment of your remaining time in New Zealand, and a round of golf is also included.
