Waikanae beach is very safe beach, ideal for children to swim, play and to learn to surf. The beach is also magnificent for long walks along the sand and the sunsets over the bay have to be seen to be believed. Captain Cook Motor Lodge is just a few blocks from the city centre and a similar distance to the cafés and bars on Gisborne’s inner harbour.
