Akarua Winery has won many awards for its beautiful Pinot Noir and other varieties. Located in Bannockburn, the area has a reputation for stark desert-like grandeur and the changing seasons reinforce nature's magnificence. Tastings are free and you'll be treated to some awesome hospitality at our Cellar Door and adjoining 'LazyDog' cafe.
Call ahead and we'll also arrange for a winery tour.

This is a great option coming from Queenstown, Wanaka or Alexandra and you can combine this visit with some of the other tremendous wineries throughout Bannockburn.
