Villa Maria's 2000 Private Bin Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc won the IWC's trophy for best of its variety as well as for being the best value white wine of the year. The Villa Maria Reserve Noble Riesling, a sweeter white wine style, is a consistent gold medal winner.
