Football phenomenon heads to New Zealand

He is a global football phenomenon and he is coming to New Zealand.
David Beckham, soccer superstar, and the man who has been described as the closest thing to royalty, is visiting Wellington in December with his LA Galaxy soccer team.
Beckham and his team will play the Wellington Phoenix on December 2.
Wellington Phoenix Football Club owner Terry Serepisos, who brokered the two million dollar deal, is certain Beckham will be ready to play come December despite his recent injury.
"We are a couple of months out from the game so he'll be fit and raring to go by December 2," he said.
Beckham moved his family to Los Angeles in June to take up a contract with LA Galaxy reputedly worth around US$250m over five years.
The former English Captain is as famous for his fashion and marriage to former Spice Girl Victoria 'Posh' Beckham, as his exploits on the soccer field.
It is not yet known whether Beckham's family will be accompanying him, but he is expected to be in the country for around four days.
