NZ named as the UK’s holiday dream destination

New Zealand remains a #1 destination choice for British travellers and travel industry professionals who've just chosen New Zealand as their dream holiday destination in the 2008 British Travel Awards.

Ahead of silver award winners Australia, New Zealand was awarded 'Dream Destination' at the glittering awards ceremony - the UK travel industry Oscars - in London.

Thousands of UK travellers and travel industry professionals voted in more than 60 categories spanning all sorts of holiday experiences, including transport, destination, cruise, customer service, holiday extras and accommodation.

The award ceremony was hosted by television star Frankie Boyle.
