Rock'n'roll royalty is coming to New Zealand
03 Mar 2008
Rock'n'Roll royalty will be visiting New Zealand shores.
Ozzy Osbourne will headline 'Rock 2 Wgtn', an Easter Rock festival in Wellington.
Ozzy has fond memories of New Zealand….although specific details are a little hazy.
"I can remember being there, but I can't remember when"
Osbourne last played Wellington in 1973 with Black Sabbath, and toured the country in 1998.
The rocker has been questioning a Kiwi on his staff for some recommendations on New Zealand.
"He said there are some amazing sights to be seen. I saw parts of that hobbit thing and I thought 'Where on earth was this place filmed.'?
Ozzy's son Jack has been to New Zealand twice to film adventure series Jack Osbourne: Adrenalin Junky.
The Rock'n'Roll offspring had such a good time filming the second series that a return trip was a must.
"Being in New Zealand was probably a top highlight. New Zealand was amazing."
Legends Alice Cooper, Poison and Kiss will be play alongside Ozzy at the festival.
No word on whether the man who once bit the head off a bat will be kept away from the nation's icon, the Kiwi.
