Skydiver celebrates 10,000 jumps

A Kiwi woman now claims something few others can - she has jumped out of a plane 10,000 times.
Lynette Warn is a tandem instructor for ‘Nzone the Ultimate Jump’ based in the New Zealand tourism hot-spot of Rotorua.
Warn successfully completed her 10,000th parachute jump earlier this week.
Reaching this career milestone puts Warn well ahead of many of her male counterparts in terms of experience.
"I’m stoked to reach this point in my career. Ten thousand skydives sounds like a huge number, but I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed every single one," said Warn.
Giddy heights of success
Warn’s aeronautical career began over 25 years ago when she and her husband opened a hot air ballooning business, however her attention quickly turned to skydiving after completing her first jump in 1983.
Since then, she has amassed 6,000 tandem and 4,000 solo jumps, captained the first all-female 4-way team at the 1999 world championships, and participated in two record-breaking jumps of 47 and 151 people.
In keeping with her enthusiasm for extreme sports, Warn is also a keen triathlete and ironwoman.
New Zealand's natural beauty
The company Lynette instructs for was excited to help Lynette celebrate her 10,000th jump.
"The team is thrilled for Lynette … this is a defining career moment and we’re proud to have someone with such huge experience working with us," Nzone’s general manager Robynne Williams said.
Nzone operates in Queenstown and Rotorua, areas that encapsulate the diverse natural beauty of each island and offer skydivers a unique perspective of New Zealand.
