Blokart fever
The New Zealand invention, Blokart is rapidly becoming the world’s most popular land-based sail sport.
Created, designed and manufactured in the Bay of Plenty, the blokart is a three-wheeled land-yacht which folds down into a lightweight, suitcase sized bag and can be used almost anywhere; from beaches to parking lots, sport and recreation grounds and even on ice.
The blokart is the fruition of a dream from Mount Maunganui based Paul Beckett who was inspired to build a wind powered toy that was portable and easy to use for people of all ages and abilities.
Blokart’s European popularity has surged with considerable media exposure, creating high demand for the karts in the Netherlands and Belgium.
