Look at me Meow
Wellington School of Design graduate Rebecca Taylor is a role model for young fashion designers. She moved to New York in 1992 with $600 in her pocket and now, with Elizabeth Bugdaycay, has fashion labels Meow and Rebecca Taylor which last year had a turnover of $18.3 million. Building on success in the United States, Meow now has 20 retail stores in Japan. Celebrities including Cameron Diaz, Ashley Judd, fellow Kiwi Anna Paquin, Minnie Driver and Christina Applegate are among Taylor's loyal fans. Her clothes are regularly featured by star stylist Rebecca Weinberg in the TV show 'Sex and the City'.
