Fly or Cruise

Riders can travel from one famous tourist destination to another on their bikes in the Avanti Rotorua to Taupo 100km flyer. It's an annual race held in March but there are competitive grades and a purely social grade in which the objective is simply to finish and take in a bit of scenery on the way. A number of visitors to the country opt for the social ride, being a great way to take in the sights and meet Kiwis.
