Rhys Darby - Profile of a Kiwi Comic & Actor
Rhys Darby has a truly unique style of comedy performance. His blend of sound effects, characterizations and askew observations have been reducing international audiences into fits of laughter since launching himself on the international circuit in 2002. Well known for his part as band manager Murray in the highly successful Flight of the Conchords, Rhys has just frecently finished filming his first movie "Yes Man" where he stars alongside Jim Carry. He is now shooting a new film in England.

Matariki - The Maori New Year
Matariki is one of New Zealand's most ancient celebrations. It is the time of year when the indigenous Maori of New Zealand mark the end of one year and the beginning of another.
Matariki is a cluster of stars which appears in the skies above Aotearoa in late May or early June. It is a time to celebrate the end of the harvest, a time to prepare the land for planting, renew associations with family and friends, reflect on the past and set goals for the future.

Sir Edmund Hillary
1919 - 2008
Sir Edmund Hillary was New Zealand's greatest hero.
The tall, gangly beekeeper seized world headlines when he and Tenzing Norgay, on May 29, 1953, became the first to scale the summit of Mount Everest. He died on January 11, 2008, aged 88.
Sir Ed - as all New Zealanders knew him - never forgot that he reached the summit with Tenzing and he devoted the rest of his life to fundraising to improve the health, education and environment of the Sherpa people of Nepal.

New Zealand is the youngest country on earth and the commercial illustrates the creation of a nation. The rest of the commercial is 100% PURE New Zealand and conjures up images of a country that is fresh and enthusiastic.

Tana's Front Row Club
New Zealand Rugby legend Tana Umaga has been chosen as the face of New Zealand's Rugby World Cup campaign. For the next four years he will be encouraging not just rugby fans but their friends and family to travel to New Zealand in 2011 through the virtual "Front Row Rugby Club."

The Giant Rugby Ball
It is being described as a marketing coup. A giant inflatable rugby ball will take centre stage next to France's great icon, the Eiffel Tower during the 2007 Rugby World Cup. Branded with "100% PURE New Zealand", the giant ball is part of an initiative to promote New Zealand for the 2011 Rugby World Cup. Members of the public will be able to get inside the 17 metre high and 25 metre long ball, and once inside will be transported to New Zealand through multi media images and sound.
