Clendon House was built in the 1860s by James Reddy Clendon, one of NZ's earliest traders and shipowners. Lived in by the family for over 100 years, the house contains the family collection with many interesting items. The house and contents were purchased from the family by the Historic Places Trust in 1972. Open 10.00 - 4.00, Saturday - Monday from November - April.
