This is a unique opportunity to observe rare yellow-eyed penguins on their daily journey to the sea.
As a guest in their natural habitat - you will learn about their behaviour, breeding cycle, and ongoing conservation challenges. A reasonable level of fitness is required as this tour involves a forty-minute walk and a climb up a sand dune.
The Sunrise Penguin Walk is part of the 2-night package for guests staying at Nisbet Cottage, which also includes exploration of remote Otago Peninsula, bird observations and albatross viewing. Pending on availability, clients from other accommodations are welcome to join.
Our guides are knowledgeable and enthusiastic and look forward to sharing this special wildlife adventure with you.
