The Ridges Garden
A mature country garden set on a terrace looking towards the Ruahine Ranges and Tararua foothills. Well-known for the driveway lined with old Rhododendrons and the Sunken Gardens where, in a formal setting, a mass of perennials flower in front of old brick walls. Also the variety of unusual plants and the woodland areas with big old trees and views of native bush and surrounding farmland. Garden-style morning and afternoon teas and lunches can be arranged especially for groups. Easy bus access on State Highway One. Two hours north of Wellngton and 45 minutes north of Palmerston North airport.
