Mountain Recreation Ltd.
Mountainrec was established in 1973 to provide a mountaineering and trek guiding service. Based from our private Lodge at Shovel Flat, Mt Aspiring National Park, we provide 3 - 8 day valley and mountain expeditions for a variety of fitness and experience levels.

Owned and operated by Geoff and Beryl Wayatt. Geoff has a record 61 ascents of Mt Aspiring to his credit and was the first person to ski off Mt Cook.

Expeditions are also conducted in the Mt Cook region and the Himalayas.
