Alpinism & Ski Ltd
During September, October and sometimes November, Alpinism & Ski Wanaka offer 5-7 day ski touring/ snowboard packages in the alpine wilderness of the Southern Alps; based at a high mountain hut in either Mount Cook/Aoraki or Westland Natinal Parks, ski/snowboard around vast glacial terrain with hundreds of metres of snow base. Ski off the main divide down massive uncrowded slopes and bowls with only a light pack on – the ultimate experience, bring it on!
Max ratio 1:4, scheduled dates and private group bookings for ski touring/snowboarding welcome.

Ski mountaineering with an instructional bent, not for the faint hearted, you can learn the skills of winter mountaineering on skis or a snow board. Avalanche courses also available.
