The Takaputahi is a magnificent wilderness river in a remote valley on the East Cape of the North Island. It offers fishing that one rarely encounters in the solitude and beauty of our forest and Ranges.
The clarity of the water, the wide shingle banks and grassy clearings present easy access, where one can observe the fish and plan the best approach.
With no public access, and Trout in the 4-7lb range(some in double figures) The fishing is exciting and challenging. Our policy is catch and release.
Our cabin has all amenities,& can accommodate up to 8 people.
Rate $150 first couple per night, extras $25 pp/pn. An evening meal can be provided if required for $30pp.
