Waitomo Glowworm Caves
Experience the spectacular natural decorations of the Waitomo Glowworm caves, for over 100 years these caves have attracted millions of visitors. Experienced guides inform visitors about the formations and caves. Features include the Cathedral Cave, stalactites, stalagmites and sculptures; having formed as a result of water dripping from the roof or flowing over the exposed limestone walls. The highlight of your tour is an unrivalled boat trip through the spectacular Glowworm Grotto. As your eyes adjust to the dark, the walls and roof sparkle with the lights of glowworm larvae. Glide silently through the starry wonderland of the glowworm grotto, your way lit by a myriad of tiny glowworm lights glittering, and reflecting off the water.
