Woodlands Historic Homestead and Gardens
A masterpiece of a bygone era.

Woodlands features a large colonial dwelling constructed in 1872 as a manager's residence for a 98,000 acre estate. It has been lovingly restored to its original grace and charm and is surrounded today by 15 acres of gardens.

The estate highlights the radical transformation of the low-lying Waikato landscape after the third New Zealand (or Waikato) War.

Experience a journey into history and appreciate the timeless beauty and refinement of early Victorian lifestyle in rural New Zealand.

Woodlands is open daily 10-4pm. Adults $5, under 15s free.
