A tranquil hectare of mature citrus orchard and landscaped sub-tropical gardens with pond, waterfall and native bush area. The garden features subtropical foliage and fruiting trees and shrubs with a bank of cymbidium orchids and many varieties of vireyas. Water lilies float on the pond which is surrounded by tree ferns, palms, schefflera, puka and giant gunnera.
A track winds through the native forest where many birds can be found including tuis, waxeyes and rosellas. In spring the air is scented by flowering citrus including oranges, tangelos, lemons, limes mandarins and grapefruit. Fruit can be picked almost all year. Other fruiting trees include an Inga Bean tree, guavas, cherimoya, fig, macadamia and feijoas.
