Trilogy Trail
Lord of the Rings location tours.
During the filming of the Lord of the Rings, Glenorchy Air worked for the film, flying actors, crew and equipment around the South Island. Some of the people we flew included Sir Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Dom Monaghan, Bernard Hill and the producer Barrie Osborne to name a few.

We offer location tours under the banner of "Trilogy Trail" to the various film locations. When you fly with us you will experience the wonder and excitement we felt when we worked on the film.

Robert Rutherford the owner, of Glenorchy Air created the Trilogy Trail from knowledge gained flying for the film. Robert’s interest and expertise in Prof Tolkien's masterpieces ensure you have a quality experience.
