The Matukituki River; fed by Glaciers and surrounded by the peaks of Mount Aspiring National Park is one of New Zealand’s most pristine mountain rivers. Wanaka River Journeys jet boat this fast flowing river past Lord of The Rings locations, watched over by Mount Aspiring and Glaciers.

Shallow water jet boating through stunning mountain scenery; learn from your guide of the forces that created this amazing landscape and enjoy a 50 minute wilderness walk into native beech forest. Also available is an optional helicopter pick-up from the jet boat to capture a close-up look at the huge glacial area beneath Mount Aspiring.
Departs daily from downtown Lake Wanaka; the ultimate combination of jet boating, Wilderness Walk and Glaciers.
