Mountain Valley Adventure Lodge
Mountain Valley offers some of the finest horse treks in New Zealand, with some 20 horses in our herd enabling us to cater for novice riders through to seasoned veterans. Our rides range from a one hour trek suitable for novices, to a four hour trek for experienced riders, with a picnic lunch on the top of the breathtaking Maunguhururu Mountains. In between are two and three hour rides. Our routes travel across farmland, through pine forest, along the banks of the Mohaka River, and high up into the bush and the mountain scenery overlooking the valley. Regardless of which trek you choose, the views are wonderful and our guides delight in telling tales of the history of this remarkable region, its flora and fauna. Prices from $75.
