Staglands Wildlife Reserve
Under an hour from Wellington and nestled in the beautiful Akatarawa Valley, Staglands offers you a unique look at New Zealand’s natural heritage.

Wander through the 10 hectares of carefully created walkways, enjoying the many different native and introduced birds, animals and trout; all in beautiful, natural surroundings. Take time to touch and hand feed New Zealand’s wildlife as you journey through this magnificent reserve, learning about our beautiful flora and fauna.

After your look around the reserve, relax and unwind with a glass of wine and light lunch in the café.
