Waimarama Maori Tourism
Hakikino is one of the places where Maori traditions began more than 750 years ago. Through our tours we preserve our cultural heritage and enhance the environment of Hakikino, which is nestled on a working farm. Come & share our history & customs with us and enjoy the spectacular scenery.

Walk the land with us and hear how the people lived. Hear the myths and legends of the area and learn of ancient ways. Discover the skills and crafts of our ancestors, ones we still practice today. Watch the eels in their natural wetland habitat and
learn about their importance to Maori.

This eco indigenous experience on a 15th century Maori ancestral and archaeological site allows us show you around and share our lives with you.
