Portage Adventure Centre
Sea kayak rental in the Kenepuru Sound is available whilst staying at Portage Resort Hotel. Hire a sea kayak for a day and explore the Kenepuru Sound - a beautiful, relatively shallow sound, surrounded by golden beaches, native bush and some farmland.

Paddle around a working mussel farm, pull up on a sandy beach and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of this beautiful sound. This is an ideal opportunity to take a rest day on your Queen Charlotte Track walk and rest the legs with some sea kayaking.

The adventure centre is open from 1 December to 30 April. Sea kayak rental includes a full safety briefing and quality equipment.

Suitable for any moderately fit person.
