Our garden is 4 hectares in a 'hidden valley' on the lower slopes of the Otago Peninsula iconic Harbour Cone.
There are 200 rhododendrons, rare & interesting trees, shrubs, ponds & paths through extensive herbaceous borders. You will also see old rose perennials & a large collection of hellebores and bulbs.
We have recently developed a side valley with a Gondwana planting theme, including cordylines, cold hardy palms & tree ferns. There is a native bush surround with the only extant stand of Rimu trees or Dacrydium cupressinum on the Otago Peninsula.
There are many wading birds on adjacent Hoopers Inlet and many bush birds in our valley.
