Located above the Kuratau River which flows into Lake Taupo, with its own unique soil and climatic characteristics, the Kuratau River Wines vineyard was planted with Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir vines in 2004. The first wines were produced in 2007 and are available for your enjoyment from December 2007.
Olives, boutique accommodation and the Floating Rock Cafe complement the wines in a region that offers tremendous beauty and a range of activities to satisfy all who have an interest in the best of New Zealand.
Floating Rock Cafe/cellar door is open for your enjoyment. Two unique chalets have been established in the vineyard, that provide luxury accommodation for guests to experience the best in the region while enjoying a vineyard stay.
