The Warkworth i-SITE is 1hour North of Auckland on route to Northland/Bay of Islands. The historic riverside village of Warkworth offers many attractions: recreational parks, beaches and nature reserves, 800year-old Kauri trees, wineries at Matakana, restaurants and cafes, markets, arts&crafts, a thermal resort, etc. Beautiful Kawau Island with historic Mansion House is just 20min by ferry. Horseriding, fishing, boating and diving at Goat Island Marine Reserve are favourite activities. The Warkworth i-SITE has a regional status. At least five languages are spoken at the centre. Reservations can be made for coach services, travel passes, rail, ferry, attractions and accommodation throughout New Zealand.
