Hawke's Bay Olive Festival

Hawke's Bay Olive Festival
A one day festival celebrating all things olive. Free entry, free parking, and free tastings, this is your opportunity to see and taste all Hawke's Bays Olive Oil, Table Olives, and Olive Products at one venue.

Ruth Pretty Cooks: Internationally known and well respected nationwide, Ruth Pretty will be presenting four of the seven cooking demonstrations at the olive festival.

Plus: additional food, coffee and wine stalls, 'How to' olive growing and processing information, Olivery tours, music from DJ Floyd, and a bouncy castle for the children.

New in 2009: Onsite Olive Oil pressing and bottling, Extra Virgin olive oil tasting seminars.

Or simply relax in the Olive Grove with Esk Valley Wine and a Platter or Mediterranean salad from Telegraph Hill.

For the energetic - test your spit power at the 'Spit the pitt' competition and set a new

New Zealand record (current 10.40m)

Wine and foods served throughout the day 10am - 4pm.
