50 of the worlds leading ski and snowboard athletes including World Champions, Olympians and legends participate in three days of heli ski and heli board competition. It is the only event of its kind in the world. Each athlete athlete competes in Big Mountain, Freeride and Downhill competition.
On non event days athletes and media take in high adrenaline adventure activity including Base Jumping, "wing suit" flying, surfing, downhill mountain biking. There are very media savvy side projects including interviews with the pilots, the guides and some of the most colorful characters in the sport of skiing and snowboarding.
The event is featured in over 600 hours of global TV, on TV screens in train stations and airports across Europe, print and online media and is one of the most prestigious events on the international snow sports calendar.
The World Heli Challenge is also to feature in the 2010 Warren Miller snow movie. This is seen by over 80,000,000 people and will screen in cinema's around North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
