The Specials
01 Aug 2009

The Specials
Coming to New Zealand for the very first time, the original line up of The Specials.

Formed in 1977 in Coventry, The Specials were one of the UK's most legendary and highly acclaimed bands of that time. And to celebrate their 30th anniversary, The Specials have decided to go on tour.

Featuring the original line up of Terry Hall, Lynval Golding, Neville Staple, Sir Horace Gentlemen, Roddy Radiation and John Bradbury; they were a band of mixed race with a common love of music and in particular Ska.

The Specials went on to have an internationally successful recording career with seven top ten singles in the UK charts including ‘Gangsters’, ‘A Message To You Rudy’ and finally ‘Ghost Town’ – released in 1981 and their final top ten single.

Tickets for The Specials UK tour sold out in a day. Don’t miss out on this very special opportunity to see them live in New Zealand for the very first time.
