Botanical Art

Originally from South Auckland, former tutor at Nathan Homestead, and recipient of International recognition for his work in botanic art; Brent McGuire curates this group exhibition as part of his passion in promoting a wider awareness of this specialised, and exquisite discipline in the arts. His own inspiration was fired after seeing Monet’s waterlilies series, and subsequently he has been painting water gardens and lotus, with a strong awareness of Monet’s influence on his work.

As well as featuring a selection of his finest works, some of the artists included in this exhibition are students of the curator.
