Cateye Moonride
The most amazing mountain bike event held in New Zealand’s MTB mecca the Whakarewarewa Forest in Rotorua. There are three event options, 12 hours or 24 hours for solo riders or teams consisting of four or five riders and 6 hours for teams of 2 to 5 and solo riders. All events ride the same 8km (30minute) course which has been designed to cater for all abilities.

The Avanti 24 Hour event starts 10pm on Friday May 7th and the Balance 12 Hour and Jungle Coffee 6 hour start at 10am on Saturday May 8th.

The Jungle Coffee 6 hour finishes at 4pm Saturday and both the Avanti 24hour and Balance 12 hour finish at 10pm Saturday.

The Cateye Moonride also hosts the North Island 12Hour MTB Club Championship for teams and solo riders.

With all teams setting up camp for duration of the event, and prizes for the most colourful/creative campsite, along with spectacular mountain bike action the atmosphere and experience for both competitors and spectators alike is not to be missed.

This event is open to anyone with a mountain bike, so get a team together and be part of this thrilling event.
