Franklin Market in Pukekohe has been running for 11 years. It is a general market selling fresh fruit and vegetables (mostly locally-grown), jewellery, new books, food stalls, fresh fish, bacon, fresh beef, lamb and cheeses, eggs, honey, jams and preserves, organic food and vegetables, flowers and plants, palms, second hand paint, CDs, toys, tools, carboot and much, much more. NZ Herald Viva Magazine 7/3/2012 listed this market as No 14 in their 50 foodie things to try before you die! This refers to Thai Kai's lovely mussel fritters and S&J Seafoods fresh shellfish. Come along and try for yourself.
Come along any Saturday morning between 8am and noon and take a look. Our resident muso Colin King is usually on site to entertain you while you browse the friendly market stalls.
New stalls always welcome, contact Roger or Vyvyan on 09 238 8831/0212303172. Stalls cost from $15 each. Gazebos and tables can be hired for the day at the market. New stallholders need to arrive on site by 7am see Ross our resident day manager who will show you to a site. Come prepared with a 'float" items priced and anyone wishing to sell food must have a current food licence issued by Auckand Council aka Franklin local office in Manukau Road, Pukekohe - info from the local environmental health officer re licence requirements.
