Wairarapa Garden Gourmet Escape (Tranzit Coachlines)
Departing by train from Wellington the rail journey takes you around the harbour before travelling through bush clad valleys and tunnels to emerge into the beautiful Wairarapa countryside. Joining the bus in Carterton the tour visits two absolutely stunning Wairarapa Gardens. Richmond Garden is listed as a NZ Garden of National Significance and Assisi set high on the rural Gladstone hills with some absolutely amazing views to go with its spacious plantings and man made lake is listed as being Regionally Significant. Lunch is included at the award winning Gladstone Inn along with tastings at a local vineyard. Finish the day with a wander of NZ’s oldest planned inland town, Greytown. This tour can be joined from Wellington or the Wairarapa.
