Explore Application Instructions

Apply for the Explore Card Online

If you are a travel seller or a member of the media, the first thing that you need to do to apply for the Explore Card, is to create an account on this website.

If you are a blogger, make sure you meet our criteria first.

Creating an account is free, and gives you access to all the services we provide on the Travel Trade website (including online training and our newsletter).

When you sign up, we ask you to select your company from a list, or to add it if it's not already on our database. This means you'll only ever need to register your full details once.

After that you can login and apply an Explore Card by clicking on my "My Account" at the top of the page, and navigating to the Explore Programme section of your account to add the extra information we need to be able to issue your Card. Of course, if you already have an account with us, just login to begin.

We negotiate very good discounts with suppliers in New Zealand, and in return we agree to ensure that holders of the Explore card are legitimate travel sellers / media / bloggers. This means it can sometimes take up to three weeks to process your application. So even if you are going to other destinations before New Zealand, please apply no less than three weeks before you leave home, so you can receive your Explore Card in the post to you before you depart.

When the time comes to issue your new Card, we will attach two of your business cards for identification, so please make sure we have received these from you in time for your card to be issued.
