Criteria for Bloggers

For a blogger to be eligible to apply for the Explore New Zealand card, the following criteria must be met first:

1. The blogger is from and read by people from New Zealand's key visitor markets
2. The blog is focused on travel or niche topic relevant to the New Zealand travel experience (eg fishing, hiking, food, wine, skiing etc)
3. A commitment to post a minimum of four blogs
4. Confirmed readership of at least 12,000 unique readers per month
5. Evidence of good reader interaction and plenty of comments posted
6. A commitment by the blogger to link to www.newzealand.com/travel/ within their posts.

Please apply at least three weeks before you leave your country. If it is very close to your departure date now, please contact our Tourism New Zealand office nearest to you or use our Feedback Form.

To apply for the Explore Card you easily create a free account here, unless you already have one.

When you have created an account, go to "My Account" at the top of the page. Then click on the "Explore New Zealand Programme" section where you make a simple application.
