About The Programme

At Tourism New Zealand our mission is to motivate travellers to come now, do more and send others.

To help achieve that goal we have put together Explore New Zealand - a discount programme for travel sellers and media. Tourism New Zealand believes that if you have first hand knowledge of New Zealand, you will be better able to help your clients plan their New Zealand holidays.

New Zealand's industry participants in Explore New Zealand offer you very special discounted offers - making it easy and inexpensive for you to experience 100% Pure New Zealand.

Who Can Apply for an Explore Card?

If you're a frontline travel seller or you have been commissioned to produce written or media material on New Zealand, you may be entitled to use the discounts in this publication.

Explore New Zealand cards may be issued to:

• Frontline travel sellers who can use their New Zealand experiences to better advise and sell to their clients
• Product planners, managers and other key decision makers who can increase New Zealand's profile and visitor numbers
• International travel writers or individuals in media with a written commission to profile New Zealand

You should allow at least three weeks for your application to be vetted, processed and the necessary documentation to be returned to you by post. If you are going to other destinations before arriving in New Zealand, please ensure you apply for your card at least three weeks before leaving home. We will need two of your business cards too, which will be used to create your Explore New Zealand Card - so make sure you post these to us along with a note explaining that you have applied for the Programme.

Once approved, you will be sent a laminated Explore New Zealand card which gives access to around 500 discounted offers on scenic flights, accommodation, sightseeing, activities, restaurants and shopping.

Next thing you know you could be in New Zealand, skydiving over Lake Taupo, bungy jumping off bridges in Queenstown or sampling sauvignon wines in Marlborough.
