Driving Routes

Southern Scenic Route: This signposted touring route links Te Anau in Fiordland with the Southland and Coastal Otago regions. This route provides visitors to Milford Sound with an alternative return route to Christchurch along the east coast of the South Island www.southernscenicroute.co.nz

Central Otago Wine Trail: Self-drive visitors can follow the Central Otago Wine Trail to see the vineyards of Central Otago, clustered mainly in four sub-regions based in the towns of Alexandra, Cromwell-Bannockburn, Wanaka and Queenstown. www.otagowine.com

Otago Goldfields Heritage Trail: The Otago Goldfields Heritage Trail offers a year-round attraction for people to appreciate the golden heritage of the Otago region.   • Taxi - approx $25 from the taxi stand, meet and greet $30 domestic airport /$35 international airport
  • Airport Shuttle - $15.00 for first person, $3.00 per person thereafter
  • Airport Bus - Operates 6:30am to 11:00pm daily. Service to & from all major hotels & motels.
