In May 2008 the lease on Longridge Fun Park was purchased by Graeme and Karen McKenzie, also owners of Aerius Helicopters. Over the past few months, Graeme, Karen and their team have revised the existing park attractions and decided upon a name change. Say hello to Spring Loaded Fun Park.

The revamped Park promises visitors a wide variety of things to do, from full-on adrenalin activities designed to get hearts racing to simply relaxing on the café deck overlooking the picturesque country setting.

All activities within the Park have been renamed to assist in the refreshment process. The Jet Boat experience is now named The Kaituna Jet, acknowledging the river on which the ride takes place. Built for speed as well as safety, The Kaituna Jet takes passengers on a 30-minute thrill ride designed to ‘blow out the cobwebs’. The ride begins with 12km ride up the Kaituna River past pristine native bush…..but be warned…..the drivers have a serious need for speed. Visitors should be prepared for a fast and furious blast back down river - 360 degree spins included!

The U-drive 4WD vehicles have become Mud Bugs, suggesting the challenging terrain associated with the experience. The Park boasts perfect conditions for an off-road driving experience with dirt tracks, rutted hills and of course the mandatory mud. Drivers can test their skills in complete safety - the Mud Bugs are a load of fun!

Aerius Helicopters will continue as a stand-alone tourism business however visitors to region also have the opportunity to take an Aerius helicopter ride from Spring Loaded Fun Park.
