Virtuoso thinks New Zealand’s hot!
Since launching as a preferred destination with Virtuoso in January, New Zealand has received some fantastic coverage. In the last month alone New Zealand has appeared in many of the Virtuoso publications for both North America and Latin America, had record attendance at our training breakfast held during Travel Mart and launched a new training program specifically for Virtuoso agents. Some of the highlights include:
- A feature in the Virtuoso Insights Trips of a Lifetime issue as "Dreamscapes Downunder".
- Came in 3rd in the top 10 dream destinations in the Virtuoso Life annual travel dreams survey
- A two page spread in Travesias, a key publication for Latin America, as "Nueva Zealandia el pais mas joven del mundo" - this means the worlds youngest country for those who don’t read Spanish!
- Over two hundred in attendance at the New Zealand training breakfast (6.30am!!) during Travel Mart, Virtuosos annual agent training event.
Virtuoso is a luxury consortia of agents primarily based in the US but also located in Canada, Latin America and Australia. Last week three of the Tourism New Zealand team attended Travel Mart in Las Vegas. New Zealand had a strong presence at the Preferred Destination Dinner, and we were delighted to have a record turn out of over 200 agents attending our breakfast at 6.30am the following morning. The enthusiasm and interest in New Zealand is certainly there, now we just need to turn this into sales!
