International Antarctic Centre Wins Top Award
The International Antarctic Centre has been judged the overall winner in the Champion Host - medium, large enterprise category at the prestigious Canterbury Champions Awards Dinner.
The Champion Canterbury Award is now widely recognized as the premier business awards event in New Zealand, hosting the largest business Awards Ceremony in New Zealand. They have become an eagerly anticipated event on the corporate and social calendar and celebrate business excellence, passion and success recognizing the contribution both small, medium and large enterprises make to the vitality of the Canterbury region.
The International Antarctic Centre was recognized as the Champion Host Winner and shared the finalist category along with Whale Watch Kaikoura & Canterbury Museum.
"It’s a very humbling experience to be judged by your peers as the best host in the Canterbury region and a real feather in the cap for all the team at the International Antarctic Centre who work so hard each day to exceed our customers expectations" says Director Richard Benton.
The event was attended by over 1100 people and recognised the very best an innovative businesses in the region.
"There are many excellent tourism businesses in our region" says Benton "and we are naturally extremely very proud to be recognised as the leader in our field by the local business community."
