"I’ve done a lot of traveling in my life, but New Zealand is by far the most beautiful place I’ve ever been." Jason tells TV Guide.com. Queenstown is the romantic setting for Jason on his three one-on-one dates in Episode Seven. Located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, overlooked by the majestic Southern Alps, Queenstown offers an environment to relax and rejuvenate, try your hand with a gold pan or a fishing rod. A wine trail will discover award winning wines from the world's most southern vineyards. Visitors can enjoy long walks through the beautiful scenery, go on a four-wheel drive trek, or lunch on a majestic steamboat.
For his first one-on-one date, Jason and his date took a helicopter ride over Lake Wakatipu to a scenic ledge, for an intimate picnic with stunning views. They then dined at the picturesque Stoneridge Estate, an atmospheric mountain lodge constructed with recycled materials including beams from an old church. As well as three beautifully furnished guest rooms at Stoneridge Lodge, Stoneridge Estate also offers a private holiday cottage, complete with cosy open fire and outdoor hot tub adjacent.
Adventure was the focus of the second outing when Jason took his date to the world’s first commercial bungy, the AJ Hackett bungy at Kawerau Bridge. This bungy has been in operation for 20 years and is one of the most popular spots to bungy jump in New Zealand. Jason and his date bravely bungy jumped tandem style, clinging to each other during the jump. The excitement of the bungy was followed by a stress-relieving glass of local wine, and dinner at Kohara Lodge overlooking the mighty Shotover River. Kohara Lodge is an award winning stand alone house set into the hillside, just a few minutes drive from central Queenstown at picturesque Arthurs Point. Facilities include a cosy fireplace, outdoor lap pool with heated hot tub, alfresco terrace area with open fire, and putting green.
